How to Receive the Newsletter
The Research Opportunity and Information Exchange newsletter has a refreshed look and a renewed focus.
This monthly internal newsletter for Dell Medical School’s research community is subscription-only.
You will only receive the newsletter if you sign up.
Subscribe to receive key operational updates, funding opportunities, professional development opportunities, events, and more directly in your inbox. The newsletter is developed in collaboration with partners across our research community, including the Office of Research and the Health Transformation Research Institute.
Submissions to the Newsletter
The Office of Research is pleased to introduce a new format: the Research Opportunity Newsletter. This format aims to reduce email traffic while keeping you informed about valuable opportunities.
Instead of receiving individual emails for each opportunity, you will now receive a grouped email featuring multiple research-related announcements. This change is designed to streamline communication and ensure you don't miss out on the vast array of available funding, collaboration, and professional development opportunities.
Newsletters are sent monthly on the last Thursday of each month (exceptions: November and December, which are sent mid-month due to official UT Austin breaks). To be included in the January-October newsletters, please submit no later than the 15th of the month. To be included in the November or December newsletters, please submit no later than the 10th of the month. Please keep this in mind when submitting.

Submission deadlines
Submit by the 15th of any month for months January through October to be included in that month’s newsletter, i.e., a submission received between February 16 and March 15 would be sent out at the end of March
Submit by the 10th of November and/or December to be included in that month’s newsletter, i.e., a submission received between October 16 and November 10 would be sent out at the end of November
The submission deadline allows us time to assemble the opportunities in an easy-to-read format.
It is critical that you plan in advance to be included before the deadline or date of your opportunity. *Single opportunities that miss the deadline will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed and unlikely to be sent out.
