Quick Guides

Select the options below for guidance on essential campus tools to establish your visibility at Dell Med and enable basic integration with university resources and services.

Ensure Your Access to Important University Resources

Upgrading your UT EID and obtaining a UT badge is how the university verifies your identity and ensures secure provision of important university resources available to all faculty such as Microsoft Office Suite, protected content like Dell Med Intranet’s page, library resources, and HIPPA compliant cloud storage services.

The ID Center recommends using the request forms below to upgrade your EID and submit your ID Card photo online.

  1. Verify your UT EID has been upgraded here
  2. If not, upgrade your UT EID virtually (Note: you will be asked to take an ID photo; you are required to retrieve the ID in person at the ID Center located in Flawn Academic Center).

Access the UT EID self service tool for general EID updates, and reach out to IT’s ID center to troubleshoot any issues. FAQs, hours of operation, and support are available on the UT EID page.

Additional questions? Call central IT at 512-475-9400.

Establish your presence in Dell Med's directory to make it easier for colleagues and collaborators to find you.
  • Update your contact information on the UT Austin & Dell Med Directories (UT Austin requires UT EID to access)
  • Update information by logging in to Workday and click on “Personal Information” from your profile page, select the option to view or change your current personal and contact information, which will display on the UT Directory.

More information on the standard set of application licenses all UT Austin faculty have access to once faculty have activated their UT EID (guidance available in the 'Ensure Your Access to Important University Resources' section above).
