Academic Orientation
The Faculty Academic Orientation is designed to complement existing operational onboarding by providing a broader academic and cultural introduction to Dell Medical School and The University of Texas at Austin. This interactive session welcomes faculty into the Dell Med community while offering practical guidance on academic life, advancement, and engagement within the medical school and the larger university context.
Through a mix of short presentations, interactive discussion, and opportunities to connect with peers and institutional leaders, participants will gain clarity on what it means to be a faculty member at an academic medical center built on innovation, collaboration, and shared purpose. The orientation is intentionally structured to foster early connection, shared understanding of mission and values, and a sense of belonging within Dell Med’s unique academic environment
